The STRIDE study is a global clinical study with approximately 800 people from more than 20 different countries.
This study will look mainly at the effect of a study medicine called semaglutide compared with placebo (a "dummy" medicine) on your walking ability, and your answers to some questions about your ability to walk and quality of life.
The study will last for about a year and 7 weeks and you will have 8 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor during that period.
To look at your walking ability, you will be asked to walk on a treadmill until your maximum walking distance has been reached. You will also be asked to answer some questions about your walking ability and quality of life. Blood samples will be taken at all clinic visits to look at different blood elements.
